HIFU is one of today's most effective skin tightening method - also called a non-surgical facelift. High-frequency ultrasound waves have a corrective and rejuvenating effect on the deeper layers of the skin. The Hifu device generates ultrasound pulses that produce thermocoagulation points by heating the skin at a strictly defined depth and area. As a result, collagen fibres in different parts of the skin (dermis, dermis, subcutaneous tissues) contract instantly, followed by the synthesis of new collagen. The procedure results in a shortening of the collagen fibres and a reduction in the surface area of the SMAS, which tightens the facial skin.

Ultrasound energy is safe for humans and the procedure itself is well tolerated. There is basically no recovery period and the formation of a new collagen matrix takes 1-6 months. The maximum effect occurs within a few months and lasts for over a year.

The procedure is a one-off and can be performed at any time of the year. After an ultrasound SMAS lift, the result can be further improved by other techniques, either by apparatus or by injection. Procedure info:

Avoid tanning and sunbeds and self-tanning products for 2 weeks before the procedure. Skin should be clean. Please do not use any cosmetic products (lotion, make-up, perfume) before the procedure. After the procedure: 

Drinking alcohol is not recommended 24 hours after the procedure. For 2-3 days, limit visits to the gym (workout), baths, spas.For 2-3 weeks after the procedure, avoid sun exposure and solarium visits. There may be some mild swelling, redness or tenderness in the treated area after the procedure, but this should subside within a few days.

Recommended course of procedures:

The results of the HIFU SMAS LIFTING procedure usually last up to a year. The results can be renewed with repeated procedures, but it is recommended to wait at least 12 months before a new procedure.

What can be combined with the procedure?
