Description
Manual lymphatic drainage involves gentle, rhythmic pumping and semicircular hand movements that activate the angiomotor activity of lymphatic vessels. This massage enhances lymph flow, reduces swelling, stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, and helps relieve pain by promoting the transport of waste substances.
The technique impacts both cells and the intercellular matrix — including blood, lymph, and connective tissue fluids. As waste products are directed toward the vessel walls, they are more efficiently eliminated, resulting in detoxification and overall purification of the body.

What can be combined with the procedure?
Manual lymphatic drainage massage can be effectively combined with other physiotherapy techniques. When needed, it is complemented by compression therapy, movement exercises, and skincare. Together, these methods enhance and prolong the benefits of manual lymphatic massage.
