Description

Mesonites are sterile, skin-compatible surgical lancets made of polymeric material, which are inserted into subcutaneous tissues using a special needle. Polymeric threads have been used in surgery for more than 35 years.

Mesonites are mainly used to improve the tone and looseness of the skin under the eyes and to tighten the skin on the neck. However, the threads can be applied to any part of the body to improve skin tone (décolleté, arms, abdomen, thighs, knees, buttocks, navel area, etc.). Mesonites stimulate collagen in the skin. The threads dissolve naturally and are absorbed into the dermis layer of the skin, usually within 3-6 months, depending on the type and thickness of the thread. The mesonites create a supportive skeleton under the skin around which new collagen is formed, thereby tightening the skin. The texture of the skin is improved, elasticity is increased, wrinkles and skin laxity are reduced.

A numbing cream is applied to the skin before the procedure to make it less painful.

It is not recommended to consume alcohol the day before the procedure. If you are taking any medication, please let us know before coming for the procedure. We recommend that you do not take any blood thinning medications for at least 1 week before the procedure (including Aspirin, Hjertemagnyl), and that you do not take fish oil and vitamin E supplements for 1 week before the procedure.

After the procedure: 

Do not use make-up products for at least 12 hours after the procedure. Do not lie down or touch the treated area for 4 hours after the procedure to avoid infection. Avoid massages and other procedures in the treated area for at least 2 weeks. Alcohol consumption is not recommended for at least 1 day after the procedure. Intense exercise is not recommended for up to 1 week after the procedure as it promotes the formation of new haematomas and swellings. Avoid sauna and hot baths for at least 2 weeks. Avoid tanning for 2 weeks.

Swelling, bruising, skin sensitivity or tenderness may occur after the procedure, but usually disappear after 7-10 days. If necessary, a cold pack may be applied to the treated area, a gel containing arnica, for example, may be used to soothe bruising, and painkillers may be taken.

The effects of the mesonite procedure are visible after 2-3 weeks and results gradually improve over a few months. The results are individual and last up to one year.

Recommended course of procedures:

For best results, it is worth repeating the procedure 2 to 5 times, depending on the area, at 3 to 4 monthly intervals.
