Before the procedure
- Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning substances 24–48 hours before the procedure, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, Omega-3, and vitamin E – these increase the risk of bruising and swelling. If necessary, consult your doctor about replacing medications.
- Do not schedule the procedure right before important events. After the treatment, the area around the eyes may appear slightly swollen or red for a few days. If you have upcoming photoshoots, first meetings, or other important events, we recommend scheduling the procedure at least 5–7 days in advance.
- Avoid other aesthetic treatments around the eyes shortly before the procedure. Avoid chemical peels, lasers, filler injections, and active cream treatments for at least 1–2 weeks before RRS® HA Eyes treatment.
- Do not consume alcohol for at least 24 hours before and 24–48 hours after the procedure – alcohol dilates blood vessels, which can increase the risk of bruising, swelling, and skin irritation. It may also slow down skin recovery and affect the final result.
- The procedure is not directly contraindicated with sunlight, but sunbathing (including solarium) should be avoided for at least 2–3 days before the procedure.
After the procedure
- Immediately after the procedure: ✓ Mild redness, swelling, or injection marks may occur – usually subside in 1–3 days ✓ The skin may feel slightly tight or dry – this is a normal recovery reaction.
- 24 h: avoid makeup and touching the eye area.
- 48 h: avoid intense exercise, sauna, and hot baths.
- 7 days: avoid sun exposure and use SPF 50 eye contour cream.
- It is very important to avoid direct sunlight for at least 7 days after the procedure. – Sunlight may irritate the treated area and increase the risk of pigmentation changes, especially on the thin skin around the eyes. – We recommend using SPF 50 protection cream even on cloudy days.
